Merrry Christmas :)
Dec. 25th, 2007 12:14 amIt is now quarter of an hour into Christmas Day so I thought I'd wish everyone a happy Christmas :)
I'm currently up in Pitlochry for a couple of weeks, having come up on the train from Cambridge on Friday (the 7 hour train journey went surprisingly smoothly). Later today I'm going down to my brother's house in Perth for the Christmas meal, he informs us that the meal will be served at 2. Or possibly 3. Or maybe 4. Hopefully sometime in the afternoon.

Date: 2007-12-25 11:46 pm (UTC)I grew up in Pitlochry, and my Mum still lives here which is why I'm up here at the moment. We actually live just about at the edge of the forest where the Black Spout (the waterfall you refer to) is, I've probably seen it a few hundred times over the years, it is a very scenic spot... Only been around Edrardour distillery once I think, but it is quite a nice place as well. Pitlochry is certainly a bit quieter in the winter months, it can get a bit packed in the summer months, I remember trying to learn to drive and having to stop in the main street because tourists were standing in the middle of the road taking photographs of stuff. Fortunately it's not usually too bad away from the main street and shops.
I take it you were in Pitlochry on holiday once, did you spend much time or were you just passing through??
I seem to remember a Douglas Adams quote "Time is relative, lunchtime doubly so." This is probably especially true at Christmas.
