I went to see X-Men 3 at the cinema today. I've seen quite a lot of negative reviews of it. I wouldn't say I entirely agree with them, as I thought it was quite an entertaining film, but I thought it could have been much better. The basic core plot is quite good, but there are a few plot-holes and far too many pointless sub-plots that don't add anything to the film and aren't give enough time to amount to anything. I read that about 30-40 minutes were chopped off the original running time to make it shorter, which might explain some of the plot incoherence. It might be interesting to see a longer cut of the film.

It is still hot here today, it doesn't seem right that the thermometer in the room is showing the temperature as being over 27 degrees at one o'clock in the morning. I'm Scottish, I'm not designed for it being hot...
